Unawatuna Beach

Unawatuna – One of the most beautiful and well known among the famous sandy beaches of Sri Lanka. Unwatuna is situated in the Southern coast and close to the Southern capital, Galle. This particular stretch of beach is more isolated and quieter than the better known part of Unawatuna beach which is ideal for swimming. This quiet stretch has a very interesting reef bustling with all sorts of life although the coral is very much dead. Taking a dip in the shallow waters with a snorkel is very much advised, to get a glimpse of the beautiful fish and other life found here.
