Hello Friends and fellow Zeylanicans. In order to be in line with the Zeylanica concept, we urge you to please remember the following guidelines. They are simple:

Important Guidelines

1. Zeylanica is a photo-blogging site.

2. You have to register. The admin will promote you as an ‘Author’, enabling you to write and edit your posts.Once registered the posts can be developed by each contributor.

3. A post can be categorized to that it lists down under a category. Some categories have been introduced as a starter, but these may have to be developed later on.

4. Each post will include the contributor/user’s registered name.

5. All posts will be moderated and edited for grammatical composition where necessary, without distorting the contents, idea or interpretation.

6. We respect your privacy, and intellectual property rights. So please help us implement those policies within Zeylanica and help in the monitoring as well.

7. Careful research and giving the appropriate credits are essential to validate you post. Link to the information sources where necessary, or just give the credits at the bottom of your post. Get permissions where necessary.

8. Any subscriber who violates privacy or Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) will be removed from Zeylanica along with all the posts submitted by that subscriber.

Some writing tips…

1. The readers are the world. So please assume the reader is new to your topic. This makes the reading a much more enriching experience.

2. Keep a personal touch. If you post a topic, let it be obvious that you are passionate about it.

3. You can use your Flickr photos. Flicker photos can be seamlessly linked into the post. If you are using someone elses photos, please get permissions first. And then give them the credit.

3. Lets build bridges. Now is the time.

4. Respect Intellectual Property Rights. If you use published information or photographs, please give the proper credits and/or specify the source.

5. The size doesn’t matter. Even a single photograph can be posted. Enriching a photo with information is the idea.
